The 2007-2008 Annual Appeal Continues!
Annual Appeal BrochureThe 2007-2008 Annual Appeal launched last November, but it is not too late to contribute. As the effort to locate alumni is a new one, we encourage you to contact us if you did not receive this mailing or if you would like to make changes to the information we have. Please send an email to alumni@stmarysclintonma.org and we will make the update.
Your contribution to the Annual Appeal will allow us to offer tuition assistance to those families who appreciate the value of a Catholic education but might otherwise not be able to afford it. We also hope to make improvements in technology and complete important renovations in the school and social hall. We thank you for your generous support!

"Keeping the Dream Alive"
Catholic Schools Light the Way: Catholic Schools Week 2008

In the early 1920s, it was the dream of pastor Fr. Anthony Powlowski to begin a Catholic school to serve the people of Our Lady of Jasna Gora Parish. His dream became a reality when the doors of Saint Mary Elementary School opened in 1926. However, the school barely had a chance to gain a foothold before the Great Depression struck, and with many residents fleeing the area, the school was forced to close its doors. Fortunately, it was able to reopen in 1936.
For over 80 years, St. Mary's has served the families of not only Our Lady of Jasna Gora parish, but also the rest of Clinton and the surrounding area. As the last remaining Catholic school in Clinton, it has proven that it can adapt to changing circumstances. In recent years, St. Mary's has suffered from declining enrollment, a problem that has plagued Catholic schools nationwide. However, under the leadership of Pastor/headmaster Fr.Tomasz Borkowski and Principal Mrs. Corey Maloney, St. Mary's is facing the latest challenge and is energetically seeking to draw a new generation of students to St. Mary's. That is, we are working on "Keeping the Dream Alive" that has been passed on for so many years. We are grateful for your interest in Saint Mary Elementary School—a Clinton legacy since 1926.
St. Mary's is accepting enrollments for the 2008-2009 School year through grade 6. Additionally, St. Mary's offers "St. Mary Cares Child Care Center." We thank you for visiting our website and hope you will find answers to all your questions. You are invited to contact Principal Mrs. Corey Maloney with any questions you may have.

Our Mission

ClassSt. Mary Elementary School is a Catholic Christian Community dedicated to nurturing and to educating students in the Christian principles of faith, love, service and unity. It is through the integration of the total curriculum that faith becomes a living, conscious and active part of daily life. In cooperation with parents, we instill in our students the qualities necessary to become active and positive participants in today's ever changing society. We are dedicated to providing a challenging, quality education, which inspires a love of learning for all students who are committed to the pursuit of learning, to Christian principles and values, and to the development of one's full potential.
